Be Informed
Kindergarten Readiness (KR) is one of our major programs. We have two sessions each fall and spring. In the fall, Fox Elementary and 30th Avenue Preschool Center host our KR sessions. In the spring, Muscogee and Cusseta Road Elementary schools are our host schools. As a volunteer you will be trained on the procedures for this program, and get to choose the school and day you would like to volunteer. If you are interested, email columbusreads@earthlink.net to receive information on our upcoming session.
We also have one-time volunteer opportunities available. At some of our events -- such as our Annual Dictionary Labeling Event, Book Parade, Heroes Read, or our Annual Corporate Trivia Bee -- we need volunteers for support. Check out our "Programs" page to see what we're doing in our community. Contact us if you are available to help on that day or simply come out and bring friends to show your support for improving literacy in our community.
